The Second Fiddle is The Dirty Onion’s sister bar and home to local trad and folk music offered 4 days a week from Thursday through to Sunday. Its a hub for Irish culture and art offering an Irish Speaking Circle and bodhran lessons weekly alongside its monthly events. If Irish trad and folk music is your thing then look no further!

The Second Fiddle and The Dirty Onion are home to one of Belfast’s biggest beer gardens and just right next door we offer a cosy peat fire inside The Dirty Onion main bar! Oh and we’re dog friendly too!

    Here at The Second Fiddle, we offer free Bodhran lessons every Thursday from 7.30pm! We even provide the Irish drum, but there is a limited supply and we operate on a first-come-first-served basis. You can enjoy a traditional Irish music session after the lesson in the main bar.
